Heartfelt Story + Incredible Animation = an Amazing Movie

 3.5/4 Stars

It's easy to see there is a difference in Pixar Movies and strictly animated Disney Movies. Pixar almost always tends to have more depth in their stories. However, this could easily be compared to a Pixar Movie. The story was very thought out and genius and the animation is absolutely astounding.  And then add four very funny comedians? It's a blast at the movies.

The story is about Wreck it Ralph (voiced by John C. Riley). He is the bad guy in his arcade game, "Fix it Felix". Felix Jr. (voiced by Jack McBrayer) is the hero who tries to stop Ralph. Every night after the arcade they are in closes, the people of the building Ralph destroys celebrate with Felix. Ralph however, is never invited. One night after the arcade closes for the night, there is a celebration for their game's 30 year anniversary. Ralph, who is very upset he isn't attending, marches up to the top and crashes the party. The people tell him the only way he will get accepted is by earning a hero medal, which can only be earned in other games. Ralph accepts this challenge and leaves his game to prove himself a good guy. On his journey he meets hard shelled "Call of Duty" soldier woman (voiced by Jane Lynch), and a girl who is as unaccepted as he is in her arcade game (voiced by Sarah Silverman). It's up to him and his friends to fix the mistake he has made, and for Ralph to come to accept who he truly is.

The perfect words to describe this movie are sweet and charming.  You get so attached to these characters throughout the movie, that it's an emotional roller coaster for the viewers throughout.  Some scenes are very tense, some are just heartbreaking, and some are cheerful and light-hearted. Not to mention there are some seriously funny scenes in it as well. Ultimately the message of the movie is clear, " Be yourself."
