A Shocking and Heartbreaking Documentary

This film is very depressing. I have to warn you. It brings to light a situation in which is so awful and even worse of how it's been covered up for many years. This is a true documentary. It gives you the candid reality of the women who are victims of one of the worst things possible, rape in the most respected program in the U.S. Military.

The Invisible War goes into very intimate details of the aftermath of rape victims from the U.S. army. There are many women interviewed (sadly, even a man is as well) about what happened and how they are dealing with it. However one very common thing is present throughout every person. When they went to go report the crime, it was ignored. That's probably the worst part. The U.S. army felt they needed to protect its reputation, even if it meant letting these tragedies continue. It has been taken to court many times, but usually ending in declination of the allegation's authenticity. The film goes how the victims are dealing with it, and most have considered suicide many times. Many also have developed mental disorders, like anxiety, depression, etc. The film wants attention and to be known, as it deserves to be.

This film needs to be seen. It needs to be brought to the public's attention. All I can say is that it was very upsetting to watch these honorable women and the courage it took them to serve in a male dominated program. It's not fair one bit how their justice, mental health, and lives in general crumbled. As I said, this needs to be seen.
