Action Packed, Superhero Mashed Adventure is Brilliant

What's funny is that, I, someone who's not big into comics, and has only seen Captain America and part of Thor, was blown away by this movie which featured a lot of things I didn't read or see. But you really don't need to be big into Marvel to enjoy The Avengers. Although it might help to have a person explain some of the important things throughout this movie. So since I’m not very educated when it comes to Marvel movies, I’ll try to give a brief synopsis of the movie.

The movie is set in the present, and there is trouble stirring. Thor's brother Loki has turned evil and taken one of the superheroes as his slave. (Samuel L. Jackson), the commander of S.H.I.E.L.D is forced to assemble a team of the greatest superheroes ever known. So he gets Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). These heroes are ordered to stop Loki and his attack to rule the world.

Nearly the whole movie was constant action. A formula which for some directors can lead to disaster. However, not for this one.  One reason this movie really worked is because of its cast. Most of us have come to know and love Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and all the others mentioned throughout this movie because of the fact most had separate movies made just about their lives.  You don't have to know these other movies though. This movie is basically combining (almost) every Marvel superhero and making an adventure anyone will enjoy. So, regardless of your prior knowledge of Marvel, go see it and you will surely have a grand old time.
