Few Laughs and Lazy Script

Oh, Anna Faris and Regina Hall (aka Cindy and Brenda), where art thou gone? I have no clue, but it's quite a shame they left. Truthfully, all I expect from this franchise is to be funny for the majority of the movie. This one failed, pretty much on every level. At least Ashley Tisdale seemed to try her best, but she's no Anna Faris. Oh well I guess.

The story mainly spoofs 3 movies: mama, paranormal activity, and black swan. It revolves around Jody (Ashley Tisdale), and her boyfriend (Simon Rex). They have been reported to that his nieces that have been missing for years have been found in harsh conditions but alive. As they agree to take them in, they are given a monitored house to live to evaluate the girls. They quickly find out that the house is haunted, and the girls have someone they've never seen before called mama. With Jody's competition with another ballet dancer for the lead role (Erica Ash), and a tape from the previous owners (Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen), Jody and her boyfriend must figure out who mama is and clear the house from evil beings.

The main reason I didn't like this one was because I rarely found it funny, and the only funny parts are thanks to the maid (Lidia Porto. The jokes were stale, the acting was more or less solid, and the plot of the whole movie wasn't that interesting especially since they took a large portion from the movie Mama. So, I have to say I'm disappointed. I'm really worried about a 6th entry. If this franchise wants to survive, they need Anna and Regina. End of story.
